crêpes super faciles (super easy crepes)!

Image
Today we're making crepes! Crepes are a staple of France. They can be done so many different ways with so many different batters! You have Crêpes Suzette, whole wheat, berries and cream, ham and cheese and my favorite lemon and sugar. I went on a cruise a couple years ago and there was a crepe station! I went almost every night and befriended the guy who made them. We're still in touch today and he approves of these crepes!  You will need: 4 eggs 1 1/3 cups milk 2 tablespoons butter, melted, or oil 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt, if desired 1. In medium bowl, beat eggs slightly and add all remaining ingredients; beat until smooth. 2. Heat crepe pan, or 7 or 8-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Grease pan lightly with butter. 3. Pour 1/4 cup batter into hot pan, immediately tilting pan until batter covers bottom. Cook until edges start to dry and center is no longer "runny". Flip and cook other side until light brown. Fill w

🇧🇪Belgian Waffles🇧🇪

Image
I love waffles. I just cannot express my love for them, it's just to much! the crunch when you bite into them and how the butter gets into the corners and it's a burst or flavor when you find it. Then you pour some maple syrup on and it's like the butters soulmate... You will need: 1 cup + 4 tablespoons of flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1⁄4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons sugar 1 egg 1⁄4 cup vegetable oil 1 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1. Sift all the dry ingredients together in a bowl 2. In a separate bowl, separate egg white and beat until stiff peaks form 3. In yet another bowl, mix together the egg yolk, milk, oil and vanilla 4. Add to dry ingredients and mix well! 5. Fold in egg white 6. Oil the waffle maker 7. Pour in a 3/4 cup of the batter into the waffle iron on medium-high heat for around 5 minutes or until your waffle maker says so! And that's it, you can now eat! This is great for breakfast, brunch or anytime you'r

15 MINUTE APPLE FRITTERS!

Image
Yep, you read that right 15. In quarantine you can have donuts on a Sunday morning (or every morning, bwahaha)! This recipe reminded me of when my family and I went to Yates Cider Mill in Michigan and got apple fritters, apple donuts and some apple cider. They were so good! If you want to go for a classic donut shop apple fritter you can mix some powdered sugar and milk and brush it on. This has the perfect amount of apple, cinnamon sugar and you feel good after eating it! You will need: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon white sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup milk 2 eggs 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 3 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar  4 cups vegetable oil for deep-frying (depending on the size of your pot) Heat the oil in a deep-fryer or electric skillet to 375°. In a bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Pour in the milk, eggs and oil and stir until well blended. Mix in apples unti

Quiche Lorraine, we're even making our own crust!

Image
I made this for easter lunch and it was super good. I've made quiches in the past and this is the best one yet! It's super creamy and cheesy. Then when you think it couldn't get any better you have a flaky butter crust! Yumm... For the crust you will need: 1 egg 2 1/2 tablespoons cold water 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, in chunks (if you have salted butter you can skip the salt) For the filling: 8 slices bacon- I used morning star farms veggie bacon and it was delicious! 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella, divided 1 shallot, minced 6 eggs 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Pinch of cayenne Pinch of nutmeg Kosher salt Freshly cracked black pepper In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Take the bowl of a food processor, add the flour and salt. Pulse briefly until mixed. Add in the the small butter pieces and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add in the egg/water mixture. Pulse ag

3 INGREDIENT PASTA, YOU CAN DO THIS!

Image
This pasta is so fun, yummy and easy to make! What more could you ask for? You can make a double recipe and freeze some so you always have some "fresh" pasta around. Or make a double recipe and eat all of it! Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 3 large eggs Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl and pour onto a clean surface. Add in the eggs and slowly with a fork mix in the flour. After the flour and egg mixture is incorporated knead for 5 minutes until it looks this Take the bowl from the flour and salt and place your dough in it for 40 minutes. Make sure to cover it with a towel! Once the dough has taken a small nap cut it into 4 pieces and roll it out. Now if you have a pasta maker you can use that, if you don't you can use a rolling pin and if you don't have that then you can use a water bottle or a glass. The thinner you want your pasta the longer you have to roll it or put it on a higher setting on the pasta mach

COOKIE DOUGH THAT WON'T KILL YOU!!!

Image
I love making chocolate chip cookies. My favorite part when I make it is eating the batter, but I don't want to get salmonella... So I made cookie dough without eggs! Now you do use different quantities of ingredients and you cook them differently (yes you do have to cook 1 ingredient for the cookie dough). If you're working at home and you want to start it and then do some work and then come back to it. This is the perfect recipe for you! You will need: 2 cups flour 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup melted butter (2 sticks) 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons milk 1/2 cup chocolate chips (or a chocolate bar chopped up, like snickers or Reese's) 1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees 2. Take a baking pan and pour the flour onto it and spread it out 3. Once the oven is ready put the flour in for 5 minutes (this kills any germs that their might be on the flour) 4. Get a medium sized bowl and pour the butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt and milk

THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS

Image
These cinnamon rolls are buttery, crunchy, soft, like heaven in your mouth! I've been craving some cinnamon rolls but they were all out of the Pilsbury ones at the store, so I decided to make some! I love Cinnabon's cinnamon rolls so that's what I tried to make it taste like. You will need: Dough: 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or instant yeast 1 cup milk lukewarm 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup butter unsalted, softened 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 4 cups all-purpose flour Filling: 1 cup brown sugar packed 3 tbsp cinnamon 1/3 cup butter unsalted, softened, or margarine Cream cheese icing: 6 tbsp butter unsalted, softened, or margarine 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar also known as icing sugar, or confectioner's sugar 1/4 cup cream cheese at room temperature 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/8 tsp salt First we're going to make the dough! Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk with a teaspoon of sugar (you can take a tsp out of the 1/2 cup of sugar) in a bowl.
