15 MINUTE APPLE FRITTERS!

Yep, you read that right 15. In quarantine you can have donuts on a Sunday morning (or every morning, bwahaha)! This recipe reminded me of when my family and I went to Yates Cider Mill in Michigan and got apple fritters, apple donuts and some apple cider. They were so good! If you want to go for a classic donut shop apple fritter you can mix some powdered sugar and milk and brush it on. This has the perfect amount of apple, cinnamon sugar and you feel good after eating it!
You will need:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
1/2 cup cinnamon sugar
4 cups vegetable oil for deep-frying (depending on the size of your pot)
Heat the oil in a deep-fryer or electric skillet to 375°. In a bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Pour in the milk, eggs and oil and stir until well blended. Mix in apples until they are evenly distributed.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden on both sides, about 5 minutes depending on the size. Fry in smaller batches so they are not crowded. Remove from the hot oil using a slotted spoon and drain briefly on paper towels. Toss with cinnamon sugar while still warm. Your hands may hurt but it's worth it!
And that's it. You can put the oil in a jar after it's cooled and use it for another frying time. Hope you enjoyed these, I know I did ðŸ˜ƒ
