Custardy Churro French Toast Stuffed with Nutella!

Tasting this French toast is like stepping into another dimension so feel free to close your eyes and just bliss out...

Ingredients:

About 4 slices of bread slices to 1 1/2 inch thick (I used Brioche and it was out of this world!)
Nutella for stuffing
3 eggs
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (3g)
pinch of  fresh grated nutmeg
1 1/2 tablespoons light brown sugar (23g)
1/2 teaspoon salt (3g)
3/4 cup whole milk (180ml)
1/2 cup heavy cream (120ml)

Cinnamon sugar-
3/4 cup granulated sugar (175g)
2 teaspoons cinnamon (6g)

Directions:

First make a simple cinnamon and sugar by mixing 3/4 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon!

Now it's time to make the custard! In a medium sized bowl add three whole eggs and 2 egg yolks, along with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 tablespoons of light brown sugar and a little pinch of freshly grated nutmeg (if you don't have it fresh that's fine!).

Mix all that up until it's thoroughly combined, whisk in 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 3/4 of a cup of milk. That's your custard!

Take your slices of bread and at the bottom of the slice take a pairing knife, slit a hole in it that's about 70% of the way in, wiggling it around to put a pocket on the inside so you can put Nutella in it!

Slip a piping bag full of Nutella (or any filling of choice really) fill it up with Nutella but not to much. It shouldn't be bloated and ready to pop. Just enough to fill it.

Take a medium sized pan and set it to medium-medium high with about 2 tablespoons of butter (just enough to coat the bottom).

Now take your Nutella stuffed slices and soak them in your custard. (If your pan only has room for 1 slice just stick in one slice at a time).

Lightly set your bread into the pan and let it toast for about 3 minutes. Flip and repeat on the other side.

Then once your bread is toasted, immediately toss it in your cinnamon and sugar while it's still hot so it sticks! Coat every single side, nook, and cranny.

Set it on a plate and serve! You did it!! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
